If you haven’t spent time in Books On Main in Murphys, you’re missing out. The independent bookstore is a serious treat for any book lover.
It opened its doors in October 2019, right before the pandemic hit.
I first had the pleasure of visiting on a chilly day in Murphys. The warmth and coziness (and the amazing smell of new books) hit me as soon as I walked in.
The minute my family of 4 walked in, we all found something we were interested in and quickly dispersed. My youngest made an excited dash off to explore everything, my oldest immediately found a cozy chair in front of a fireplace (who can blame her), and my husband grabbed a book and another cozy chair.
They also have a variety of gifts, like tote bags, candles, and earrings. My youngest was able to find a variety of books that she was interested in, and is begging me to go back.
Take a trip to Murphy’s CA, and stop by Books on Main. You’ll be glad you did!
